Symposium ROAD to 2030 - November 17th, 2025

November 17th, 2025
Amphithéâtre Buffon – Université Paris Cité
15 rue Hélène Brion – 75013 Paris

The annual symposium of the ROAD to 2030 Inserm network was held on November 17th, 2025 in Buffon amphithéâtre (Université Paris Cité - Paris 13).

By integrating cell biology, tissue engineering, advanced imaging, biomechanics and public health, the musculoskeletal community is uniting to reinvent how we prevent and treat rheumatism and musculoskeletal diseases. The ROAD to 2030 network invited participants to a one-day symposium which unites clinicians with biologists and epidemiologists and engineers to speed up discoveries that will revolutionize patient care by 2030.
The day was introduced by Didier Samuel, Chairman and CEO of Inserm.
The symposium featured four visionary keynote speakers Franziska Denk (Wolfson Sensory, Pain and Regeneration Centre, King's Collège London, UK),  Sestina Falcone (Centre de recherche en myologie, Paris), Nicholas Fuggle (Centre for Developmental Origins of Health and Disease, University of Southampton, UK) and Jean-Philippe Pradère (RESTORE lab, Toulouse), who presented their recent discoveries about neuro-inflammation, musculoskeletal ageing, population health and mitochondrial metabolism.
Rapid-fire talk sessions and an interactive poster walk provided numerous chances to test ideas and spark collaborations and showcase the French community work.
